The 6th National Symposium on Land Subsidence (SNSOLS) was successfully held on November 8-11, 2023 in Beijing, China. The symposium was hosted by Capital Normal University, Geographical Society of Beijing, and Hebei Cangzhou Groundwater and Land Subsidence National Observation and Research Station. More than 200 participants attended the symposium. There were 5 keynote speeches, 63 oral presentations and 11 posters. The organizing committee arranged two field trips. Field trip I included two stops of Land Subsidence and Earth Fissures Monitoring Stations in Shunyi District. Field trip II visited historic sites along Grand Canal in Tongzhou District, where the land subsidence is serious.
